Don't worry, we've all been there! Starting out, it can be difficult to figure out exactly how to tie a durag. To save you the hassle of searching around, we are going to walk you through step by step how to tie your Penzi Durag.
- Firstly, place the durag on your head and have it resting slightly above your eyebrows. Line the seams up so that they're sitting in-between your eyebrows
- Next, take a strap in each hand and cross one over the top of the other. Pull them tight as you bring them forward towards your forehead. To keep the straps wide and stop them from rolling up, ensure that you unroll them and keep them flat when crossing over and pulling towards your forehead.
- Pass the strap from your right hand to your left hand and vice versa while still keeping tension on the straps. Lock off one strap by tucking it over your ear, so that you can pull the other strap tightly across your forehead.
- Bring the two straps together at the back of your head by tying either a single or double knot.
- Lastly, pull down on the cape of your durag to ensure that it's resting snug on your head and keeping your hair looking its best.
